December 1, 2022 – New release: Konsolidator adds Flexible mapping AND improves performance on "Calculate & Post"
We have just released 'Flexible mapping'. The new functionality allows you to change the company's entire mapping - even after using it for earlier reports. Read on to learn what Flexible mapping means for you.
Furthermore, we have also released a significant performance improvement on the "Calculate and Post" for journals, which according to our measurements, will shorten the calculation time by more than 50% for most of our customers.
Why is Flexible mapping beneficial for me?
Flexible mapping is a beneficial functionality for you who, at some point, change accounting systems and, therefore, need to change your entire mapping for a company. Before, this was impossible if you had already uploaded numbers on the mapping.
What can I do with Flexible mapping?
Changing to a new accounting system is now easier than ever in Konsolidator. With Flexible mapping, you can manage the company's mappings in any way you want. You just upload the new mapping and assign it to the relevant company.
What about my historical data?
Switching to a new mapping does not affect your prior periods. All uploaded and consolidated numbers will remain the same, so the full audit trail remains intact. Similarly, when you manually change mappings of local accounts, it will not affect prior periods unless you choose to re-open a period and consolidate it again.
How can I use Flexible mapping?
When you want to switch to a new accounting system, you simply:
- prepare the new mapping
- upload the new mapping to Konsolidator
- choose the company in question.
If only a small number of local accounts have changed, you can edit the mappings manually. You will still keep all historical data, but future uploads now use the new local account mappings.
