February 15, 2023 - Software Update: Improved workflow for multiple users
We have just released a new update that lets you know when a calculation is in process. This has made the reporting process more transparent when more than one user uses Konsolidator simultaneously.
What does it mean for my reporting?
The only change is that Konsolidator now locks while a calculation or consolidation is in process, so you can be sure the calculations are always correct, even if you and your colleagues are working in Konsolidator simultaneously. Resulting in better collaboration across groups and subsidiaries.
ow will the system notify me?
When a user in your team is running a calculation or consolidation, Konsolidator locks the following features for the same source and period:
- "Calculate & Post" and "Consolidate"
- Uploads
- Posting and unposting journals
Furthermore, if other users try to post or unpost a journal at the same time, Konsolidator will inform them that a calculation is in process. Consequently, this fix will eliminate any risks of missing numbers or calculating double if other users in your team are in the process of adding a journal or printing a consolidation report.
