How to add Associated companies to your group

Companies can now be set as Associates, Subsidiaries, or Do not recognize (the latter if the company should not be consolidated at all). Further, they can determine which accounting principle should apply to all subsidiaries and associates.

What’s New:

  • Possibility to add associated companies to the group structure and upload trial balances.
  • Automate journal calculations and cash flow for associated companies
  • Select the appropriate accounting principle for associated companies

Get started by creating these companies in Konsolidator and then ensure that they upload their trial balances just like any other company.

How do I use "Associated companies"?

If you want to add associated companies to Konsolidator, follow these steps:
  1. Go to SETUP and click on GROUP STRUCTURE
  2. Select +ADD COMPANY in the top banner to create a new company, or click on an existing one to change that.
  3. Fill out the company data as required.
  4. The new changes have been added, and you can now upload trial balances on your associated companies.

After that, Konsolidator will correctly handle the uploaded trial balances and create the necessary journals.

Important:

The first time you create associated companies in your structure, new journals will be added when you calculate and post. You will have to select these journals only the first time you calculate (see image below).
