How you "detach" a company from Group Structure
As a Standard and Administrator user, you can detach companies from the group structure by following 3 steps.
Be aware that you can't detach a company if:
- It is the ultimate parent/top company.
- It has been used for consolidation in the structure you want to remove it from.
The reason is that Konsolidator saves the company's historical data, so you always can go back in periods and track the data for your financial reporting.
Step 1: Go into your Group Structure
In the lower-left corner, you find the group structure. Mouse over the “SETUP” button and click “GROUP STRUCTURE”.

Step 2: Edit the company
After clicking “GROUP STRUCTURE”, an overview of the current structures appears.
Click on the three small dots on the entity you want to detach and select “Edit Company”.
Step 3: Click Detach
In the dialog box, click ”Detach” and now you have detached the entity from the group structure.

The entity will now appear in the “Detached Companies” area in the overview.

Need to re-attach?
If you need to re-attach a company, edit the company by clicking the three dots on the right side and assign a parent company again.
