May updates 2023: what's new and what's fixed

Below you can read about May's software updates.

What's new:

Exchange rates in Budget Upload are now blocked for only closed periods. You can now update the exchange rates in an open period without opening the rest.

Group Accounts have two new updates:

  • "Sum" has replaced "Parent" for all occurrences related to Group accounts.
  • Parent account links to the current tab. When you create new Group accounts (including Cashflow accounts), you can now only select a parent account related to the tab you are in (P/L, B/S, etc.).

General Software Updates:

  • You can now use 10 decimals in Ownership percentage for companies.
  • Reports' date stamps will now be in your local time.
  • The upload tree and Group Structure now have the same order.
  • As an Admin, you can now see who has which user role under "USER ADMINISTRATION".

You can now access the Validation and Consolidation reports on the Journal page under the top "GET UPLOAD REPORT" button.

When editing a journal, you can now export the entries to Excel via the "EXPORT TO EXCEL" button at the top bar. The export format fits our journal upload template, so you can change the data easily in Excel and re-upload it.

Improved performance on loading time when you:

  • Upload in Actual source.
  • Change a lot of Group accounts.

You can now find the following for the new API:

  • Developer documentation for both versions of our API on https://api.konsolidator.com/swagger. You can select which version in the top right corner.
  • A new end-point v2/consolidations provide information on all your consolidated periods, incl. what time, by whom, source, and sub-group.

Bug fixes:

Error messages, fixed:

Some error messaging did not indicate the specifics or the user's next steps; this has been fixed for you who:

  • Enter a too-long journal header or number.
  • Upload budgets in a year with closed periods.
