New Intercompany Module
Where to find key information
Last week, we released the new intercompany module, which makes it easier for you to do intercompany elimination at the correct consolidation level, as you get:
- Easy overview and error identification with the new in-app intercompany reconciliation overview
- Match and eliminate intercompany transactions at the correct consolidation levels
Additional UI changes
As part of the added intercompany features, we have simultaneously ensured to constantly make changes to the UI for a better and more intuitive workflow.
On top of combining all Elimination Journals Entries (EJE) in their separate menu item, we have also introduced the "List"/"Tree" view to the new module. You already know it from your companies’ views.
This will make it much easier to maintain an overview and insight into your journals for all levels in the hierarchy.
User Experience
Improved UI for Journals, Eliminations, and Cashflow
We always aim to make the user experience and workflow as intuitive and supportive as possible. As a true cloud software, we can quickly and seamlessly share these enhancements with our customers without disruption.
- New filter/search options in the journals module. You can now find a search option for each column in the “List” view. In time, it will replace the current top-right Search box.
- Continuously improving error messaging. While you have defined a smooth process in Konsolidator from book close in your local ERPs to the final reporting in Excel, Power BI, and/or somewhere else for your consolidation, we continue to work on the related error messages to help guide you and adapt. Every process can have a new wrong input format, inconsistency in the inputted numbers, or something else we haven’t seen before and need to write.
- Added detail to the dashboard. You may have already noticed that we recently added more detail to the information shown in the dashboard on the front page of Konsolidator. Now, you gain more insight into the status of your journals from the moment you log in to Konsolidator.
Drag N’ Drop
Available for all mappings
The interactive mapping feature, drag and drop mapping, has now been aligned across all mapping pages in Konsolidator.
- You can use the feature to map group accounts to cash flow accounts and assign local account mapping to your companies.
Further, in the list of mappings, we have introduced a "last edit by" and timestamp when you hover the mapping.
